Frequently Asked Questions
Does my association see my location while I'm doing my round?
No. Your location is only activated during an alert (button, fall detection, or trigger from the app). Outside of that, neither your association, nor your area manager, nor Safee see where you are. From the app, you can view the list of transmissions and know who saw what and when. Safee isn't a round-tracking tool, and that's by design.
How much does it cost, and who pays?
Our pricing is public, visible in the pricing section of the site. The Pro plan is the app alone, the Pro+ plan adds the physical panic button. In most cases, it's the employer (association, home-care service, public social action center) that equips their workers, with per-seat billing and a dashboard for managers. You can also subscribe individually with a monthly plan and no commitment.
Is my employer required to protect me?
Yes. Article L.4121-1 of the French Labor Code requires the employer to ensure the safety of their employees, including home-care workers on isolated rounds. Safee enables your association, home-care service or public social action center to meet this obligation and provides a timestamped report to attach to the Single Risk Assessment Document. You can forward this link to your area manager.
Can I cancel anytime?
Monthly subscription with no commitment for both Pro and Pro+. Cancellation from the dashboard, effective end of month, no penalties. For a multi-site employer contract, terms are negotiated based on volume.
Won't it go off when I help a service recipient stand up?
Automatic detections (fall, immobility) can be canceled before transmission. And if an alert goes through, a human operator contacts you first to qualify the situation before escalating to emergency services. Thresholds are calibrated not to react to personal care or a bed-to-chair transfer.
How long until I'm operational?
A few minutes for the Pro plan: download the app, create the account, add your trusted contact or area coworker. The Pro+ plan, with the physical panic button, ships quickly via La Poste. No technician visits your home.
Will it drain my phone's battery by the end of the round?
The app stays in standby most of the time. Continuous location tracking is an optional, non-mandatory feature: without it, your location is only sent during an alert. For long days or evening shifts, the Pro+ panic button pairs with the app via Bluetooth and has its own battery (10 days depending on use), so it doesn't drain your phone.
What if I'm in a building with no signal, or in a basement?
Safee combines GPS, Wi-Fi and cell tower data. If GPS doesn't reach (stairwell, parking garage, cellar), we send the last known position plus the cell tower ID, which lets the center locate you within a usable radius for emergency responders. The alert is sent as soon as the network returns, if it couldn't go through on the spot.
